Sterling Hops
Sterling hops are many used for aroma but can also be used for bittering. This hop is a cross from different hops to create a delicately spiced, citrusy aroma with a floral and herbal punch. Sterling hops are very close to Saaz since it was created to be more resistant to mildew.
Typical brewing styles: Belgian-Style Ales, IPAs, Lagers, Pilsners
Characteristics
Spicy, citrus aroma, herbal notes.
Purpose: aroma and bittering
Alpha Acid: 4.5% – 9%
Beta Acid: 4% – 6%
